As you may or may not know, Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a genetic, neurobiological disorder, characterized by involuntary movements and sounds that are known as "tics."

Tics are quite common in childhood, but in moderate or severe cases tics can cause functional impairment, social impairment, and pain. In addition to tics themselves, the usual person with TS has other difficulties because of accompanying and associated disorders. The two most common are attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Why is Tourette Syndrome Important To Me:

I am an African American Man who has Tourette Syndrome and has had it for approximately 19+ years. I currently live in Knoxville, Tennessee in the project (public housing), but I am originally from Connecticut.

I am trying to increase people's awareness in the African American Community, as well as other minority, and non-minorities who do not know about Tourette Syndrome.

The brainchild of community member Rascal_86, The Bella Blitz is a plan to honor Ysabella Brave on her birthday and give something back to her. Our girl works her little nubbies to the quick producing top notch videos for us. She never asks for anything in return. It is payback time!

Mark your calendar, and on December 4, log on to YouTube and watch your favorite Ysabella Brave videos whenever you possibly can. Then leave her a birthday greeting in the comment field of each video you view. It is our intention to overload the YouTube servers with thousands of fans playing her videos in a concerted effort — spike her statistics to assist her in gaining the recognition she deserves. More importantly, we will be reassuring Ysabella Brave of our support and devotion.

You may follow preparation events at the following Ysabella Brave Community Message Boards: Under “Shows and Events,” click on “Let’s Do Something For Ysabella Brave.” Under “Random Talk,” click on “Shut Down Youtube on 4 December.” Feel free to post your own thoughts or ideas there. This project is by the fans, so we welcome fan input as well as participation.

You can also help spread the word to your friends in the Ysabella Brave Community and on YouTube, as well as your real-world family and friends. So Ole you seem to be a diehard fan of Ms Ysabella. Can I count on you to help spread the word? I know quite a few will post birthday wishes, but the "bottom Line" is numbers on her videos. That is my proposal - to just for one day - her birthday - help her boost her numbers on her videos. I don't know what, if any, impact this will have on Youtube, life or anything. I just think we could try it and see. If you have any other ideas, I would like to hear them. I am not very savvy when it comes to the whole Youtube operation. I am merely a listner/buttonpusher who happens to love Ms Ysabella's work.
